Grace E. Bafaro, 100 years old, of LaGrange; beloved wife of the late Michael E. Bafaro; loving mother of Michael (Kathleen) Bafaro; proud grandmother of Jennifer Bafaro; preceded in death by dear sisters Lottie, Frances, Vera, & Almira; also preceded in death by loving parents Mary & Peter Santelli. Visitation 3 to 9pm Wednesday, August 8 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral prayers at 9:30am, from the funeral home, to St. Francis Xavier Church, LaGrange. She was our nanny, but to our boys she was Nana, the grandmother they never had.
Thank you Grace, for all the love you gave over so many years, for your great big heart, and for your dedication to two little boys — now young men –who will never forget you! You were cherished, and you will be missed.

Vicki & myself always looked forward to coming to La Grange, from California to visit with our ‘neighbor next door’ Grace. We enjoyed many conversations about her life & experiences, my time growing up in La Grange and having meals together with her and her family. It was always fun, lively & interesting.
