  1. What a nice person. When I worked at Dominick’s in Western Springs he would always say “Hello” to me.
He was still there when my children went to St. John’s which was nice to have a few faces from my St. John’s experience still there.

  2. Butterscotchs will always remind me of you! “Those are the best ones,” you’d whisper when I was, I’m sure, taking forever to decide which one to choose. Rest In Peace, Mr. Dolar. You were one of the best!

  11. My mom taught with Dave for several years at SJC.. I met him as one of my moms best friends,, everything the above posts say is true. My mom passed 8 years ago and my wife and I were fortunate to randomly run into Dave a few years ago at Jameson’s which was one of his favorite places (according to him and the bartender who new him by name). He shared stories about my mom and dad which both have passed and it really helped me stay connected with them. My wife and I looked for him the last couple of visits to Jameson’s and we heard last night of his passing.. Dave Dolar RIP it was great to get to know you over the last few years and I trust you are in a better place.
