Brett R. Yuknis, of Brookhaven, GA, formerly of Burr Ridge, IL. Beloved fiancée of Kristin Nicole Saunders. Loving son of Susan (Peter) Sturgis and Robert Yuknis. Devoted brother of Christine (Ted) Lehman. Dear step-brother of Erin (David) Yarmo. Dedicated uncle of Emily and Justin Lehman, and Ethan and Ryder Yarmo. Cherished nephew of Chuck (Carol) Zdenek, Bill (Diane) Zdenek, Jim (Linda) Vlodek, Michael (Desta) Yuknis, John Yuknis; and Ed (Babs) Vaitkunas. Fond cousin of Katie (Don) Kaminski and children Hannah, Madeline, Ella, and Nathan; Brian (Brie) Zdenek and children Brinn and Bram; Denise (Joe) Sanchez and children Jakob, Penny, Eddie, and Ollie; Karen (Ryan) McElvogue and children Paddy and Rory; Laurie Zdenek; Kurt Vlodek; Kim Vlodek; Kerri (Brandon) Heider; and Andrew. Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles (Evelyn) Zdenek and Andrew (Dolores) Yuknis, and by his uncle, Tom Yuknis. Brett was friend to so many wonderful people. Visitation 1:00pm until time of Funeral Service 6:00pm, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Interment private.   1. You embraced me as a friend when I first came to Illinois from California in 6th grade. We grew up together as great friends and always stayed in touch. My sincerest sympathies to all friends and family. Love you Brett, miss you. See you again someday on the other side.
