Stephen C. Perlini
Stephen C. Perlini, age 64 of Woodridge, treasured husband of forty-one years to Linda (nee Leppert); cherished dad of Elizabeth (Mark) Meersman, Sarah (Fred) Biasiello and Stephen (Lauren) Perlini; loved grandpa of Ivy, Mary Jane, and Daniel Meersman, Fred and Mallory Biasiello, and expected baby girl Perlini. Adored son of Lorraine Perlini (nee Drab) and the late Fred Peter Perlini. Dear brother of Laurie Perlini (John Rose), Fred (Deirdre) Perlini, Phillip (Debbie) Perlini, and Molly (Greg) Nelson. Fond cousin, loved brother-in-law, and uncle to many.
Steve dedicated his professional career maintaining aircraft to ensure the safety of others. He graduated from the University Of Illinois Institute Of Aviation. Steve was the Director of Aviation Maintenance for Allstate for over 20 years. He was well respected throughout the industry for his attention to detail and valued feedback. Steve was continually recognized for his excellence amongst his peers.
Above all, Steve loved his family. Steve was a supportive and tireless father attending numerous sporting events and school functions. As a husband he fostered unconditional love as a true partner in a fulfilling marriage. He would drop everything if anyone was in need of his help. His toolbag was never far from him. Steve’s grandchildren brought him immense joy and he never passed up a chance to spend time with them. If his grandkids were unavailable, he played hockey, followed the Blackhawks, drove his classic car, and spent time in the sun.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 1st at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Prayers 9:15 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 2nd from the funeral home to St. Scholastica Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Funeral info 630-964-6500.

Sara, your dad sounded like a wonderful man. Although I never met him, Fred had nothing but kind words for him and your whole family. My sympathies and prayers are with you.

I’m saddened by Steve’s passing. I knew him from his working part time at Sears Aviation. He had a great and sometimes bizarre sense of humor that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m sorry for your loss, I knew Steve when I worked for Dassualt Falcon Jet and he was always pleasant to speak with and provided valuable feedback to us from a customers perspective. I had business dinners with him several times, we always had fun and great laughs. What a tragic lose to your family and our aviation community, he will surly be missed by a lot of people.

I just learned of the loss of Mr. Perlini. I have supported him for years and have enjoyed many laughs with him. I will always remember him for being tough but fair and understanding. We have all lost a huge friend.

My sincere condolences to you all on your loss of Steve. He was a very well-respected and highly-regarded part of the aviation community and in particular, an important part of our ‘Falcon family’. Steve made many invaluable contributions to our company as a member of our Falcon Operator Advisory Board and as director of the maintenance team at Allstate. More importantly, he gained many friends among his colleagues within the industry that he was clearly passionate about. I, personally always enjoyed my interactions with Steve as he would offer great insights on our products and how they could best serve his company, as well as how we could better provide service to our customers. All delivered with Steve’s professional demeanor and quiet sense of humor. He was also quick to share the great pride and love he had for his family, as well as his great enjoyment of playing hockey.
Steve will truly be missed by his friends at Dassault Falcon Jet. His time ended way too soon; thank you for letting him share some of it with us.
I just learned of Steve’s passing. I am so sorry to hear this. I have known Steve for several years as a fellow Falcon 2000 Crew Chief. He will certainly be missed at the industry events where I always looked for him.
