David C. Healy, age 56, of LaGrange, formerly of Lyons and Hometown; loving husband of Julie; loving father of Katie & Michael; dear brother of Mary, nee Healy, (James) Hayes and the late Michael Healy; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; loving dog & cat dad; dear friend of many. David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Joan Healy. David worked at United Parcel Service for 36 years. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, where a Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m., at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s name to the Animal Welfare League are appreciated (animalwelfareleague.com/adoptions/).

Julie, Katie,and Michael, We are very sorry for your loss. Dave was a great friend to everyone. We always remember the good times with him at our annual Christmas parties! He was the life of the party and he will be missed. Gone to soon our friend!

I had a great early life because Dave Healy was part of it. Lots of Cub games, and amazing concerts. So many happy memories. Rest in peace friend.
