David A. Mock

David lived life fearlessly. He was a kind hearted, smart, creative and funny man. He was always one who liked to have fun. He worked as a union carpenter most of his life, but after work he always had some creative project he was doing on the side. Whether it was making a storage box for his daughters dolls, making a toy for his grandson, or making canes for his friends and family, David was always playing with wood and seeing what he could create. He had even started to practice carving faces and animals recently to make his canes even more unique and personal to the people they were intended for. Dave hated reading for school assignments but loved reading for fun. Some of his favorite things to read were The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Odyssey, and just about anything by Steven King and H.P. Lovecraft. He loved hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and riding his bike down any trail he could find. If he was able to be outside and active for a day then it was a good day, and he couldn’t be happier. When he wasn’t at work or at home with his family, you could often find Dave having fun hanging out with his friends at a bar sharing stories and drinking a Miller High Life. He was proud to be a father and grandfather and shared stories of his family often.
David A. Mock was a loving father to Anthony, Rebecca and Michelle Mock, and a wise future father-in-law to Michelle’s fiancé, Anthorne (Eli) Ternoir. He was proud to be a grandfather to Rebecca’s son, Logan Mock. He was the beloved son of Anthony and Louise Mock, and a wonderful brother/brother-in-law to Anita Mock and Steve Wilkin, Carla and her late husband Bill Knotek, and Peter and Kathi Mock. He was the former husband and best friend of his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Betty Mock. He was the worlds funniest and kindest uncle to his nieces Staci and Toni Mock, and his nephew Nathan Mock. He was a caring uncle and Godfather to Missi Sproat and her daughters, Ann, Charity and Isabella. David was loved by many, and though he has left this life he will never be forgotten.
