Louise K. Essig (nee Graunke), age 83, of Countryside passed away peacefully in her home on June 11, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Delwin R. Essig, Sr.; loving mother of Delwin (Sandra) Essig, Jr., Jim (Patti) Essig, and the late Deborah Seversen; dear grandmother of Michelle (Ethan) Clapham, Matthew (Jacquie) Seversen, John (Jamie) Essig, Courtney (Mike) Bolt, Kevin Essig, and Scott Essig; fond great-grandmother of Mason and Colin Bolt; sister of Judith (Craig) Cuda and Edward (Renata) Graunke; aunt and friend of many. Louise loved her time working for Mattson Floor for over 20 years, playing the slot machines, and family trips to the Brookfield Zoo.

Visitation 10am until 12pm Saturday, June 22 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30pm at Hope Lutheran Church, 6455 Joliet Rd. in Countryside. Interment Fairmount Willow-Hills Memorial Park.
