Rose M. Conrad (Geppert), age 93, of Darien. Beloved wife of the late Harley Conrad. Loving mother of Harley (Marti) Conrad Jr., Tom (the late Candy) Conrad, and Nancy Conrad. Devoted grandmother of 11. Cherished great-grandmother of 24. Great-great-grandmother of 3. Dear sister of the late Ann, the late Henry, and Lillian. Fond aunt of many. Rose worked in a P.O.W. camp for the United States. She served 18 years as a Girl Scout leader. Rose was an avid skier and traveler. She loved animals and nature. Rose was a devoted member of the Western Springs Baptist Church. Rose was loved by many. Visitation 3pm to 9pm on Sunday, July 28^th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside, where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 29^th at 10am. Interment to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hodgkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
