Thomas Berryman, age 62, of LaGrange Highlands. Loving father of Peter (Kimi) and Michael Berryman. Devoted grandfather of Payton Berryman. Former spouse of Cynthia Berryman (nee Ganz). Longtime companion of Denise Whiting. Dear brother of Robert, Patton, and James Berryman. Preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Joan Berryman. Fond uncle and friend of many. Thomas was a longtime employee of LaGrange Highlands School District 106 for 31 years. He will be dearly missed by all. Visitation 3 to 8pm Wednesday, September 11th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a funeral service will be held 10am Thursday, September 12th. Dear Peter and Michael~ your father was a fun loving, intelligent man who helped me early in my career at Highlands. A group of 8th grade boys continually sabotaged the library computers when I was a new hire and Tom repeatedly came to my rescue with his knowledge of DOS and reset the machines. He was also quite clever with the AV machines that would often need attention~ before there was a professional IT department at Highlands, he was mine! This was all above and beyond his various other duties. I will skip delving into the frequent practical jokes that he played on me~ all in good fun 🙂 I am certain that you have many great memories to help you through this difficult time of grieving.
