  5. As hard as it was to lose you as my doctor after all the years when you retired, it was horrible to hear that you had passed away! Sharing your own experiences with health issues and reinforcing and support of mine helped me tremendously! I owe you so much for your kindness and understanding! Miss our chuckles and the Civil War chats! I always kept my promises to the girls to leave you in a better mood when I left. Thank you also for your “referrals” for post retirement docs for me! They can’t hold a candle to you but they’re close! My best to your family, including Dr. Dave, haven’t crossed paths with him at UC yet but who knows?! Doc, you’re the best!

  6. My wife and I were patients of Doctor Pitrak for over 20years. We were very sad when he retired at an early age to pursue his photography of birds and other wild life. Doctor Pitrak saved my life twice.. Once from thyroid cancer and once from a serious mitral valve problem. Both required serious surgery for which he refereed me to the best in each field.
I used to love our chats during my office visits. He will be missed and remembered fondly. I have spoke highly of him on many occasions and will continue to do so. God bless him and his entire family who he spoke of so lovingly.
