After a 2 ½ year courageous battle with lung and bone cancer, Frank passed away at home on July 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; sisters, Arlene Formanski, Diane Mitchell and Barbara Hascek; brothers-in-law, Jerry Formanski, Bob Mitchell and Sam Hascek; sister-in-law, Emily Koester; nieces, Lynn Formanski, Dawn Mitchell, Jackie Kalinowski, KerryAnne Koester and Debbie Kanze; nephews, Jerry Formanski (deceased), Rob Mitchell, Sam Hascek and Rick Koester; grandnieces, Maggie Koester, Tassie Kanze and Tatiana Kalinowski; grandnephews, Matthew Koester, Ned Kanze, Gunner and Conner Hascek. Frank served in the Army in Vietnam 1965-66; was a life-long member of the NRA, ASSRA, Aurora and Wheaton Sportsman Clubs; graduated with a Masters Degree from Northern Illinois University, had 5 patents in tooling, working as a mechanical engineer and on the Apache Helicopter, instrumental in incorporating his community into the city of Countryside.
