Joanna “Aunt Annie” Scardina (nee Balzamo), age 94, of Norridge, formerly of Cicero and Berwyn. Beloved wife of the late Nick for a wonderful 54 years. Loving mother of Mary “Dolly” (Tony) Bertronski, Guy (Debbie) Scardina, and Lucy (Louie) Spada. Devoted grandmother of Tony (Emily) Bertronski, Zach (Ayaka Sano) Scardina, Nicky Scardina, Tyler Scardina, Gina (Eric Rada) Spada, Renne (Steve) Plzak, and Michael (Samantha Vega) Spada. Dear great-grandmother of Jeremy Bertronski. Fond aunt and friend of many. Preceded in death by her loving parents and sister. Joanna loved to play Bingo and play her slot machines. Visitation 9:00 AM Friday, February 7, 2020 until time of funeral service 12:00 PM at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL 60525. She was a nice lady she kept you smiling and on youre toes. I will miss her dearly however god had better plans for her she can now fly with the angels . i love you joanna and the family and they was just that family to me. Prayers and love go out to the family. R.i.p joanna
We were not only sister-in-laws we were friends. We had some fun times together which I will treasure forever. I will miss her beautiful smile. She was the most generous person I knew, so glad she was in my life. Love you Annie and will miss you. Eternal rest grant to her O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon her.
Mrs. Scardina was a wonderful lady and was a joy to watch (back in the day) at bingo. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Scardina. Many prayers and much love to all of her family.
