Ferdinand “Fred” C. Susi, Jr., 81, of Darien passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.  Mr. Susi was born in Philadelphia, PA to parents Ferdinand and Aida Susi.  He received a BS degree from University of Delaware and a Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.  He worked for the National Can Corporation from 1964 until retiring in 1987.  After retiring, Fred enjoyed taking care of his collies, grandchildren, and cooking.  Mr. Susi is survived by his wife, Edna; son and daughter-in-law Ferdinand and Sharon Susi of McHenry, grandchildren Nicholas, Ferdinand and Matthew Susi; daughter and son-in-law Alexander and Nancy Laskowski of Clarendon Hills, grandchildren Alexander, Timothy, Zachary and Amelia; and son Christopher Susi of Naperville.  Visitation 3-6pm Sunday May 4th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75^th St., Downers Grove.  Prayers 10:15am Monday May 5th from the funeral home to Holy Trinity Church for Mass at 11am.  Entombment Clarendon Hills Cemetery.  Funeral information 630-964-6500
