S. Benjamin Beeson of Downers Grove, who spent most of his life in Brookfield, IL, passed away on July 22, 2014.  He is survived by his beloved wife Marcella, nee Kovacic, and loving children Debra M.D., Carol and James (Claudette).  He served as a Proviso Township Republican precinct captain from 1974-2006 and was active with the Brookfield PEP Party since 1977.  Prior to his retirement he served as an Investigator for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office.  A native of Chicago (Austin area) he graduated from Austin High School in 1939 and DePauw University, Greencastle, IN in 1949.  Visitation from 11am to 3pm on Saturday July 26^th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75^th St., Downers Grove, IL, with a funeral service held at 2pm.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.  Funeral info 630-964-6500
