Lea Weber, age 90, of Western Springs, born July 12, 1923, Luxembourg, passed away May 23, 2014 of natural causes in her home.  Lea was the beloved daughter of Lillian and Nicholas Gringoir.  She was preceded in death by her loving brother Ernest “Ted” Weber.  She was the loving caretaker of her dog, Cedric “Ceddy” and her cat, Perry.  Lea graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Biology.  She wrote and translated technical articles and books in German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.  Lea had been employed by The American Hospital Assoc., The American Medical Assoc., The American Dental Assoc. and PRC, Townsend Consulting Engineers of Chicago.  A memorial service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 5129 Wolf Rd., Western Springs conducted by Pastor Erin Clausen on Thursday Sept. 11, 2014 at 7pm.  Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery will be private.  Hallowell & James Funeral Home assisting the family 708-352-6500
