Irene Boor (nee Odchodnicky), age 95 of Countryside passed away peacefully on Friday. Beloved wife of the late William Boor; devoted mother of William R. and Richard T. (Debbie) Boor; loving grandmother of Brian and Michael Boor; dear sister of the late Emil and John (Molly) Odchodnicky and the late John and Anna Odchodnicky; fond aunt of Nancy (Paul) Hudak and the late Susan Thomas; dear sister-in-law of Mildred (the late Irwin) Melka and the late Elsie Boor; fond aunt of Steven (Rose) Melka and Nancy (John) Phelan; aunt and great aunt to many; Godmother to Karen Beth Bute and Nancy Phelan. Irene was very active in Church with the Dorcas Society and Ladies Alter Guild. She was an enthusiastic member of the Kitchen Band. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered. Visitation Tuesday, April 19th from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Will lie-in-state Wednesday, April 20th from 10 a.m. until time of service, 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Ev. Lutheran Church of Riverside, 250 Woodside Road, Riverside.
