William Stevenson Brady, 85, passed away on May 2, 2016 in Sarasota, FL. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee Glaser). Loving father of Chris, Mary Ann (Peter) Pashigian, Bill, and Mike (Christina). Dear grandfather of Erin and Megan Brady, Owen and Magali Pashigian, Colin and Brigid Brady. Brother of the late Frank Brady (Su Hilty). Visitation 5-9 pm Wednesday, May 11 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.  Funeral Thursday May 12 at 9:45 am at St John of the Cross, 5005 S. Wolf Rd, Western Springs. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Bill (nicknamed Max) graduated 1951 from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a B. S. in Marine Engineering. Held a U.S. Coast Guard Chief Engineer Unlimited license for the Merchant Marine. Served in the Navy as Main Propulsion Assistant (#2 engineering officer) on a cruiser during the Korean War.  Sales Manager at Babcock & Wilcox in the 1960s. Founded Spray Masters Inc. in Countryside in 1978. Remarried in 2001 to Geraldine Devlin. The pair later divorced, but remained steadfast friends until his death. An avid golfer, Bill loved reading, watching the Chicago Bears and travel.
