Sellers of La Grange was called home by our Heavenly Father on November 7, 2016 at the age of 88.  Devoted mother of Margaret (Mark) Baker, Quentin (Susan) Sellers, Mary Jones, Martha Messina, Brendan, Charlotte, and the late Kathleen and Gwendolyn Sellers.  Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Nicole, Ben, and proud great grandmother (“GG”) of Danielle, twins Ashley and Meridith, Benny and Vala.  Dear sister of Anna, Margaret, Mary, John, Elizabeth and Joseph.  She and her siblings were first generation Americans, all born in Chicago.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Xavier College, and later earned her master’s degree from National College of Education.  Knowing since the third grade that she wanted to be a teacher, she loved all of her over 40 years of teaching in Chicago Heights and the Chicago Public Schools, as well as the years she lovingly guided children through her Montessori program.  The family sincerely thanks St. Thomas Hospice, most especially Carol Narowcki, as well as Mary Beth Zill of Dr. Saghir’s office, for their loving guidance.  Visitation 3 to 9pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.  Prayers 11am Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the funeral home to St. Cletus Church, LaGrange for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am.  Interment following Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.  Funeral info. 708/352-6500 or www.hjfunerals.com
