Anthony George Maly, age 94, previously of Cicero, Illinois and Springfield, Ohio and currently of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Saturday December 17, 2016.  Anthony was born and raised in Cicero, Illinois, son of the late Albert and Marie Maly.  Also preceded in death by his son, Anthony Louis Maly, daughter-in-law, Lori Maly, and 6 siblings.  Following high school, Anthony entered the US Army where he proudly served his country during WWII.  He retired from Chi-Vit in 1985 after more than 30 years of dedicated service.  Anthony was a strong and meticulous man who cared enough to remember everything you told him.  He was the true patriarch of his family, always wanting them to have the best.  He was an avid golfer, golfing 3 days a week and was a tremendous Chicago sports enthusiast who was grateful to have gotten to see the Cubs win the World Series.  In addition, Anthony enjoyed time building model trains and working in his yard.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Maly; children, James Maly, Joseph Maly, Katherine (Kevin) Lyons and Nancy (Richard) Cutrell; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and dear friends.  Visitation 10am – 2pm Friday December 30^th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75^th St., Downers Grove.  Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  Funeral home phone 630-964-6500
