Such very sad news. What a sweet person Peggy was. Since we met in grade school, through fun times in high school, at all our reunions and in her Facebook posts, she was always kind kind and warm. Sincere condolences to all of you who loved her. I know you’ll continue to feel her love in your lives.
I haven’t seen Peggy in years but still remember her laugh and smiles in high school! Rest In Peace Peggy.
Sending my condolences wrapped in a huge hugs to all of your family. May God carry Peggy on angels wings to heaven. Karen Marie Kedzuch
In memory of Peggy (the co-queen of grammar and safety),
It has been a great 25-year run, my friend, with the finest traffic school (and other CLC Judicial Services programs) in all the land. You said it best recently when you said we thrived. I always will treasure all of our travel adventures together in spite of our questionable navigational skills. I know you will be watching out for me from above in accordance with the terms of our Oprah finale pact. We all have been blessed for having known you, your always positive outlook, faithful spirit, and wonderful family. We will do will do our best to carry on your legacy.
Rest easy, our determined and fearless leader,
Lisa (Marc and Mike from UCONN too)
Sorry to hear this – was always kind to my mom and me. Thinking of the Jansta kids and all of Peggy’s family.
On behalf of the men and women of the Deerfield Police Department I extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Peggy. For many years I had the opportunity to work with her in numerous capacities and she was an amazing lady that will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Thank you Peggy for being so kind and for always having a smile on your face. You made CLC a better place and you leave a lasting legacy. I will miss you.
My deepest sympathy to Peggy’s family. Peggy was a great person with lots of love and she was always there to help. I worked with Peggy for so many years and always loved hearing her talk about jet kids. She fought a long time against the cancer and now she is at peace. Rest my friend in God’s arms!
I don’t know if I truly have the words to say how much Peg meant in my life and to describe the void her passing leaves. My very first contact with her back in the 1980’s when I wanted to learn how to smock and there was a workshop being held; Peg was the contact for the Smart Smockers. One phone call and I had a friend for life! She encouraged me to come and join the group and she changed my life forever. Our kids were quite young and we all clicked. All of our adventures, trips, guilds and her convincing us to quilt and founding the American Stitcher’s Smocker’s and Embroiderer’s Society enriched our lives so very much. On a personal side there are so many memorable moments…She would do anything for her kids, Peg was not well and it was close to prom for Sara, Peg had completed most of the dress and I so vividly remember working on Sara’s dress in my living room so that all would go off without a hitch. Long after her kids were out of high school, she insisted on working on Street Scenes out of a passion for the program. There were countless other adventures involving kids and family.
Peg was also my late husband’s boss at CLC for 20 years and impacted my family life on that level. And when Charlie was sick she made sure to check in on us often and always was willing to jump in where needed. Lastly, when I found love again, she was so welcoming of my new husband and allowed me to crash at her place while I was commuting for work before my retirement. I treasure everything about Peg, but most of all I will miss our talks in the evenings when I was staying with her. She will be missed by all. Rest in peace my friend, you will no longer suffer; Pizza Chick Forever! Your family is in my prayers.
On behalf of the entire 19th Judicial Circuit, I extend my deepest sympathies to Peggy’s family and friends. Thousands of persons and families benefiited tremendously from the traffic safety, parenting education and other programs Peggy helped develop for Lake County. The administration of justice was greatly enhanced as a result of her leadership and dedication. We will be forever grateful for her many contributions to our community.
Chief Judge Jorge Ortiz, 19th Judicial Circuit
Peggy my condolences to your family. May you suffer no longer and enjoy the gifts of God in Haven from the Harlan and Wilson Family.
Thanks for your leadership with smile for SSCLC meeting and I enjoyed the tour you guide me at Condell ADS. Rest in Peace, Peggy.
My husband and I send our most sincere and deepest condolences to Peggy’s family. Peggy will be missed greatly. Despite her illness and her challenges, Peggy always had a smile on her face whenever I saw her. I wasn’t around Peggy like many of you were because I worked out in the field, but whenever I would go to the office, even if it was just for a short visit and Peggy was there, I made sure to say “hello”to her. She was always so busy, but never too busy to say “Hello” back and always ask how was I doing. It won’t be the same without Peggy for a long time.
Will miss seeing Peggy at the Lake County Chiefs of Police Association meetings. She has done so much for the Lake County community. Her life impacted many in positive ways. We all wish to be remembered for our efforts and successes in our lives, and she certainly will be. Thank you Peggy for sharing you life with us.
Peggy you were a great boss! I appreciate all the encouragement that you gave us at CLC Judicial Services. I hope that your family finds solace in knowing that yuo touched many lives and will be greatly missed. May you rest in God’s arms and be at peace without any more discomfort. Thank you for being a part of our life.
