Mildred Lois Gardiner
Mildred Lois Gardiner, age seventy– one, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2018.
She was born on August 24th in Jackson, Kentucky in Breathitt County to Pearl and Edith (nee Deaton) Thorpe.
She is survived by her daughter, Felicia Kathleen Meadows, and her siblings Jack, Mary Joyce, Arlie, Tribue, Amanda and Bettie, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, John, Larry, Curt, and Laura.
She was married to the late Charles M. Meadows, who was a Chicago Police Officer, and to the late Scott J. Gardiner, of Gardiner Metal Company.
She bravely fought Ovarian Cancer from 2011 until her passing in 2018.
Visitation 10 to 12pm Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.
Interment to follow immediately at Acacia Park Cemetery, Norridge.

I can’t say how incredibly sad this makes me. She was such a big part of my life growing up. Like a second mom.
My memories are filled with so many good times that she’ll live on every time I tell my boys a story of when I was little and playing with Kathy.
She will be missed.
