Robert George Driscoll, 77, of Countryside. Beloved husband of Carol for 53 years. Loving father of Robert Eric Driscoll and Kathleen Ann (Steve) Strnic. Devoted grandfather of Izzy and Cal Strnic. Dear brother of Roselyn (Stanley) Blum and the late Patricia Wright. Fond uncle of Meg Sacks, Kate Blumberg, David (Annie) Benz, Christina Benz, Michael (Shannon) Thomas and Stacy Buchanan, Richard Sporer, Steven Sporer, also many great-nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation 11am until time of Memorial Service 1pm Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls appreciated. Robert was a member of Bell Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, TV westerns and sports, especially the Cubs, photography and chocolate chip ice cream. He was a Countryside Alderman for 8 years and a cancer survivor. Bob was a great friend to my family! My dad admired and respected him and his service to the city! They made a lot of great memories! My heart is full of love and sorrow for the entire family! I wish I could be there in person to hug you and attend the service, but I will be out of town. I am so sorry! Please know that I am thinking of you Carol, Robbie and Kathy.
