Linda DeWinter

Linda was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 2, 1954 to Anthony C. Saladino and Mildred Kubic Saladino.  She passed away in Tulsa, OK on October 18, 2018 after battling valiantly against cancer.

She graduated from Nazareth Academy and continued her education at Northwestern University Evanston, IL obtaining a degree in Radio, Television, Film.

Linda joined the editorial staff at The Institute of Real Estate Management before moving to Tulsa where she really found her niche in the restaurant business as owner of Pizzeria UNO Chicago Bar and Grill.

Linda loved animals. Few have ever loved and enjoyed their pets like Linda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mildred, infant brother Richard and her cousin Ray. She is survived by her cousins (more like sisters) Bernadine and Carol, her friend since pre-school, Shirley, her pinochle group – Ellen, Nancy and Kay, and her former husband and close friend Jim.

Very special thanks are extended to her caregivers – Sherri, Sandra, Gi Gi, and Sonny.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 1 from 4 to 8pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St, Countryside. Funeral prayers 10:30am Friday, November 2 from the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs. Mass 11:15am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Additional Info: 708-352-6500
