To the family of Mary Alice:
All of us at The Crate Escape are deeply saddened to hear of Mary Alice’s passing. She will be remembered as one of the most devoted dog moms we have ever known. Her true love and dedication to Smithwick and Kenny who were the loves of her life goes unmatched. We have been honored to have them as part of our daycare family since 2013. She and her furkids will be missed very
much. We are here for Smithwick and Kenny and hope you will reach out to us if we can help care for them in any way.
We take comfort knowing one day Mary Alice will be reunited with Smithwick and Kenny.
With heartfelt sympathies,
Renee and the TCE team
We are so heartbroken to hear of Mary Alice’s passing, we were just with her and the dogs at fall camp last month. Mary Alice, Smithwick and Kilkenny Cream were loved by many at Camp Dogwood. Our hearts are with her family and of course the dogs. We know it has been a rough time for your family, and are very sorry.
Mary Alice was a beloved part of our dog loving community at For Your K9. She was always happy and loved training Smithwick and Kilkenny. She volunteered at our trials and helped in everything dog related. She adored her dogs and did so much with them. Mary Alice will be sorely missed. We were blessed to have Mary Alice and her dogs as part of our family. If there is anything you need for the dogs and their care, please let us know.
With Our Deepest Condolences,
Nancy and the For Your K9 Team
I met Alice at Camp Dogwood several years ago and we always met up to talk dogs. She was always cheerful and her primary focus was making sure Smithwick and Kilkenny Cream were happy, healthy and lived fun-filled lives. I will miss her dearly. Her family, friends and beloved dogs are in my prayers.
Tom and I send our sympathy to the family. Mary Alice was always smiling and had a kind word. Her beloved dogs meant the world to her. Her dog training family will miss her.
I was so shocked to learn of Mary Alice’s passing. We met at For Your K9 and always shared laughs and stories about our dogs. We learned that we both grew up in LaGrange and that she lived near my sister-in-law Sherie Vear and knew my brother Bill McGowan.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at Mary Alice’s passing. I am so sad for her, for Smithwick, and for Kenny; their separation from each other is tragic and deeply distressing. The three of them made such a lovely family and were delightful company at the park. This is such a sad time.
