A Litany of Remembrance
Poem by Rabbi Sylvan Kamens and Rabbi Jack Riemer
In the rising of the sun and in its going down,
we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,
we remember them.
In the opening of buds and in the rebirth of spring,
we remember them.
In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of summer,
we remember them.
In the rustling of leaves and in the beauty of autumn,
we remember them.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends,
we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength,
we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
we remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
we remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us,
as we remember them.
We are sending you all our love from Ireland….we are thinking of you all and cannot even contemplate what you are all going through. All our love to Mary, Gary, Patrick, Maureen, Marie Claire and extended Kilmer/Lipinski families. From the Ball/Curran families in Ireland love to you all, Claire Xxxxx

Dear Mary, I am so sad to hear about your son. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
To all the Kilmer – Lipinski family, our hearts just bleed for you and we have only the fondest memories of your beautiful family. What a beautiful young man who is left us too soon. I found the poem below recently among some of the clippings my mom has saved and I think it is beautiful and fitting here.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
