Robert D. Lufrano
Robert “Bob” Daniel Lufrano, 72, of Woodridge, Illinois, succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family and friends on November 3, 2019.
Robert was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and a friend to everyone. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 45 Years, his two daughters Michelle Lufrano-Ambroz and Christina Lufrano and her husband Bobby Esposo; six grandchildren, Carmen, Nathaniel, Charlotte, Ezra, Talia, and Santino; and Trina McKinney, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Robert served in the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant during the Vietnam era. He retired as a union driver with the Teamsters. Robert was always there to help relatives and friends, coached different sports or whatever else people needed from his generous heart.
The services will be held Friday, November 8th, 3pm -9pm and Saturday, November 9th, 10am – 11am at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th Street, Downers Grove, Illinois, 60516. The burial will be at Queen of Heaven. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Capalbo, B.J Parrish, Paul Ferrera, Bobby Esposo, Ralph “Butch” Lifido, John Kemp, David Smith, and Howard Best. Our sincere condolences to Barb and the Lufrano family. We were saddened to hear of Nob’s passing. Our apologies for not attending the funeral as we just recently heard about Bob’s passing.. We will miss Bob very much. He was a kind and loving person. He would do anything for anyone. We enjoyed talking and being with him especially during the family picnics. .He was a people and family person for sure. He loved being with his family and he loved them very much. He truly will be missed.
