Adela Gamboa Gutierrez, age 84, passed away October 18, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Enrique Gutierrez. Loving mother of Enrique Jr., Marco A. (Cynthia), the late X. Guadalupe, Ulisses (Karine), and Ceasar. Devoted grandmother of Teresa V., Alexander, Marco A. II, the late Joshua, David V., Allegra M., Daniel, Adam, and Stephanie. Dear great-grandmother of Violet V. and Orlando M. Cherished sister of Estela, Lucita, and Imelda. Adela was preceded in death by siblings Alejandrina, Antonio, and Baudellio and parents Jorge and Imelda Gamboa.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 23rd from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Social distancing guidelines will be set in place. Masks required. Family and friends to meet at the funeral home 8:30am Saturday, October 24th for prayers and procession to St. Cletus Church, La Grange for 9:30am Mass. All guests must register for Mass by Wednesday, October 21st at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4DA9AB2CA6FECE9-adela. Unregistered guests will not be permitted into church. Interment private.

Tia was an angel on earth. My heart and soul were forever touched by her generosity, loving spirit, and warm smiles for everyone. We will miss her and finds comfort knowing she is resting in peace. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy to all my Primos.

My Madrina Adela was a wonderful person with a beautiful smile for every person she came across. There are no words to express the sadness that our Family is feeling at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful family at this difficult time but we know she is resting in a better place.
A smile to remember. The most sincere thing about her was her smile. I always remember seeing and hearing her laughing. It was also my father’s favorite. They would speak for hours on the phone and laugh the entire time. I can only imagine the fun there having now!
