Eleanore A. Zwolinski
Eleanore A. Zwolinski (née Andrassi), age 96 of Indian Head Park passed away on January 9, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Zwolinski. Loving mother of Ronald (Judy) Zwolinski, Gene (Robyn) Zwolinski, Barbara (Russ) Owen, Michael (Lynn) Zwolinski, Susan (late Kevin) Wallace, Richard Zwolinski, and Gail (Steve) Pierce. Proud grandmother of many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Antoinette and siblings Edward (Stephanie) Andrassi, Emily (James) Lager, Joseph Andrassi, Albert (Victoria) Andrassi, Dolores (Louis) Sabatini, and brother-in-law Gilbert Pote. Eleanore adored her family, gardening, cooking and baking, playing cards with friends. She never met a stranger. She made friends with everyone she met. Visitation 10am until time of Mass, 11am Thursday, Jan. 14 at St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs. All guests must pre-register to attend at https://www.stjohnofthecross.org. Aunt Eleanor you will be greatly missed. You were a fun Aunt that taught me how to ride a bike. You promised you would not let go but you did. I went down the hill into the circle drive and have been pedaling every since. Love you and Thank you. You will be missed. Your niece, Karol Pote Mayoros

It’s hard to know what to say at a difficult time like this. No one can take the place of a Mother, and your Mom will be greatly missed. When Jim & I would be in town visiting my folks, we would pop over and see her. She was always working in her flower gardens, and then she’d feed us. I remember asking her to show me how to make her Italian plum pierogi. We got to the house, and she had every thing already finished. All we had to do was cook them and eat. We had fun times playing pinochle at so many family gatherings when we were younger. Great memories. You’ll be missed, Aunt Eleanore.
