Charlene (née Cole) Parnell, age 95, of North Riverside, IL (former resident of Chicago, IL), died Friday, January 15, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Paul Parnell for 69 years; loving mother of Jeff and wife Pam; proud grandmother of Steven and his wife Irene; great-grandmother of Valerie & Nathan, all of LaGrange, IL. Preceded in death by loving parents Walter & Aurora Cole, and siblings Ann Young, Howard Cole, & Raymond Cole.

Charlene was born September 23, 1925 in Weed, Kentucky. After retirement, Charlene enjoyed traveling with her husband Paul, especially to Woodhaven Lakes, and cooking for her family.

Due to COVID restrictions, a visitation will be held privately. A private family burial will be Wednesday, January 27 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
