Ruth M. Martin, age 88, of LaGrange Park; beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Martin; loving mother Charles E. (Peggy) Martin & James N. Martin; proud grandmother of Nicholas (Jessica) Martin, Nathan Martin, Christopher (Betsy) Martin, & Kelly Martin; great-grandmother of Avery Martin; dear sister of the late Jean (the late Bob) Lambert; aunt of John (Lori) Lambert & Tom Lambert. As one of my mother’s best friends from high school, Miss Ruth was a large part of my childhood and continued her influence during my life through her continuing friendship with my mom, Pat Demke. When Mom needed to move from her home, Ruth helped her to transition into life at Bethlehem Woods and our family is forever grateful for her outreach. A beautiful woman, inside and out, who lived a beautiful life. Thank you for being part of mine.
I was a docent with Ruth at Brookfield Zoo for 32 years. We were also good friends. She was the kindest, most caring person and will be missed.
