Kathleen Rose O’Neill, 78, passed away at 4:15pm on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Kathleen was born on March 8, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to the late James and Rose (Seiter) O’Neill.

Kathleen is survived by her sister, Marjorie (Dean) Wiley of Punta Gorda, Florida; friend, Joan Raber of South Bend; and countless special neighbors, friends and colleagues in Indiana and at least 14 other states.

At the age of 2, Kathleen’s family moved to Western Springs, Illinois where she attended Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois, class of ’61; Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago, class of ’64; Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1969; and Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana for her Master’s in Nursing in 1978.

Kathleen worked at LaGrange Hospital in Illinois. She was an Assistant Director at Memorial Hospital in South Bend for 15 years. She was Director of Nursing at Interim Health Care for 20 years.

Kathleen loved animals, especially cats, gardening, photography, traveling and hosting parties, especially St. Patrick’s Day parties.
