Lester “Pete” Eby, age 87, of Crest Hill. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Loving father of Terrence (Denise) Eby, Leslie (Michael) Schoenberger and Caroline (Steven) Fish. Devoted grandfather of Jonathan, Christopher, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Caroline, Anna, Claire, Victoria and Griffin. Dear great-grandfather of Emi and Edison. Lester was preceded in death by his siblings Dwight, Donna and Leo. Visitation 8:30 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 6 until time of funeral service 10:30 a.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Interment St. James Cemetery. Les was a fun-loving man whose smiling face will be sorely missed in Carillon Lakes. It was a pleasure to know him and share many hours playing his favorite game—poker. 🌹
My Deepest Sympathy to the Family on Lester’s (Petey) passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him, while I was Karen Eby’s companion. He will be missed.
