Jeanne Turek, age 97, of LaGrange, IL. Beloved wife of the late John Turek; loving mother of John, Jr. (Suzanne) Turek, the late James (Denise) Turek, and Maria (Tim) Tobin; dear grandmother of Megan (Hunter) Bivin, and Tyler Tobin. Family and friends to gather Saturday, Feb. 19 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange for Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations given to St. Francis Xavier Church are appreciated. Arrangement entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside. Info: 708-352-6500
Maria is a devoted daughter and caring woman, heartfelt sympathies to dear Maria and her family. Maria loved Jeanne enough for 5 family members!!
Jeanne’s great love for her family and dedication to her faith were monumental and unwavering. Her passing leaves a giant hole in the hearts of her family and friends and may only be soothed if we can remember the generous love that she poured into each of us. I feel fortunate to have been welcomed into her heart and into her family. I want to imagine that she is now flying with the angels.
My husband, John Cooney and I were pleased to have been a small part of Jean’s life through our long friendship with Jean’s loving son, John, and his wife, Suzanne.. Rest in peace, Jean. Thank you for bringing your son into this world.
Jeanne’s love for family and friends was so present each time I was with her that I can see her smiling from Heaven as I write this. She was as lovely a person as her photo represents, and I truly loved her. As time went on, we both moved to different places and I moved to Florida; however, we kept in touch through phone calls and visits I made to Illinois. My most recent memory of our conversations was that just before our call ended, she told me “you made my day.” I treasure the years God brought Jeanne into my life!
