Deepest condolences to Dan’s family and loved ones. We went to junior high and high school together, he was incredibly warm and while quiet, very funny. May his memory be a blessing.
Best, Joanna Belanger
So sorry for your loss. My son Matt was a good friend of Alex’s and Daniel kept in touch with us over the years.
People touch the lives of others no matter how far apart they are. This could not be more true of Daniel Cameron. This year has been one of my more successful years for me and my career. This was influenced in large part to Dan’s successes. Watching him fall and then rise back up to finish school sent a powerful message to me that anyone could persevere and obtain “The Good Life.”
I saw his work continue through his writings and advocacy. It was hard to miss. He gave a voice to those who should be seen as equals in the eyes of the law and that was the biggest influence for me to go back to school. It inspired me to work harder and create my own mission to help others achieve their potential. Unfortunately, I was never able to share that with him or thank him.
I am sharing this with Matthew, Shelley, Michael, his many friends and his family because you were there to watch him grow and to guide him. My heart goes out to all of you during this time and I hope you can each be proud of all the great ways he touched the lives of others. Celebrate his legacy because it is also your legacy as well. It is a testament to how you touched the lives of others through him. Thank you.
