David Melvin Barnett, 74, of Brookfield. Beloved husband of the late Linda Sue. Loving father of Carrisa (Dave) McCormick, James (Aurelija) Barnett and Hannah (Robbie Guevara) Barnett. Devoted grandfather of David (Emily) Kluge, Eric (fiancée Maddie) Kluge, Joey Kluge, Linda Chize, Elizabeth Barnett, Bob Chize and Selina Barnett. Fond uncle of many. Visitation 3 to 9pm Friday, November 11, 2022 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 West 55th Street, Countryside. Will lie in state from 10am until Funeral Service 11am Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge, Illinois 60527. Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. David was a huge Chicago Bears fan and Chicago Cubs fan. His favorite holiday was Super Bowl Sunday.
