Nicolle Tomljenovic
Nicolle Ann Tomljenovic, age 42, of Berwyn and Willow Springs, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded in love by family and friends.
Nicolle was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend to many across the United States, Canada, France and Republic of Croatia. Loving daughter of Ankica (nee Grahovac) and the late Marko Tomljenovic. Caring sister to John and Steve Tomljenovic and devoted aunt to Jackson and Levi Tomljenovic.
Preceded in death by grandparents Marica and Nikola Grahovac and Bozica and Nikola Tomljenovic.Dear niece to Katica (nee Tomljenovic) and Luka Saric, Milan and Jan Grahovac, Mandica (nee Grahovac) and the late Luka Ivezic and the late Mata Grahovac, late Joso and late Mary Tomljenovic, late Ankica (nee Tomljenovic) and late Luka Anusic, late Milka (nee Tomljenovic) Husetic, late Lovre and Ljubica Tomljenovic, Drago and Katarina Tomljenovic, late Sime and Jadranka Tomljenovic and Ivica and Sonia Tomljenovic.Treasured cousin to Kathy (nee Saric) and Konstantinos (Dean) Marousis and their children Gia, Alexandra and Niko. Cousins Gina (nee Grahovac) Franklin and Lisa (nee Grahovac) Ellis of California; Darko Ivezic and Damir Ivezic of Croatia and Sandra Grahovac and Gilles Grahovac of France. Late Milan (Miso) Anusic, Damir Tomljenovic, Jadranka Buljan, Jadran Husetic, Iva Tomljenovic Fabinger, Nikolina Tomljenovic Gugic, Anamarija Tomljenovic and Ivan Tomljenovic of Croatia; and Kristina (nee Tomljenovic) McDonald and Andrew Tomljenovic of Canada.
Nicolle is also mourned by her godparents Ankica and Drago Uremovic and her loss is deeply felt by her extended family – the Super, Wilson, Marousis, Bishop, Uremovic, Vucicevic and Rozenich families.
During her productive and successful career journey, Nicolle made many friends and most recently was employed at McDonald’s Corporation serving as Director of Strategy and Value Realization. At the onset of her career, she also taught college level courses.
She achieved her Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University and earned her Bachelor of Arts of University of Illinois Chicago.
Visitation 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, February 3rd at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL 60525.
Family and friends will meet at St. Cletus Catholic Church for 10:00 am Mass on Saturday, February 4th, 600 W. 55th Street, Countryside, IL 60525.
Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60162

Dearest Nicolle, We are so grateful to God for the gift of your earthly life and all the joy, wisdom, beauty, kindness and laughs that you brought to our lives and the lives of all of those around you. You are incomparable and our heart breaks that you are not with us in this world. We are comforted to know that you are in eternal peace and with all of our loved ones in heaven. On behalf of those of us who knew Nicolle at McDonald’s, our deepest condolences to her family and friends. She was a beloved colleague, who drove the best out of everyone she came in contact with. McDonald’s was better for having had her as a part of our organization and she will be missed!
It is with profound sadness that I recently learned of Nicolle’s passing. Having worked closely with her at both BP and McDonald’s, her spirit and drive for excellence was well-respected and admired by everyone who worked with her.
