James J. Chiostri, 85, of La Grange, IL. Beloved husband of Gloria, nee Rolla. Fond brother of the late Elaine (the late Alfred) Nelli. Dear brother-in-law of Geraldine Osmolak-Vlahos. Loving uncle of Carl (Patti) Nelli, Karen Mackey, Carisa (Jay) Janouch, Christopher (Trish) Nelli, Nicole Osmolak, and the late Jason Osmolak. Loving great-uncle to many great-nieces and great-nephews. Proud Dog-Dad of Wrigley. James was loved by many friends.
Friends and family will gather Friday, March 3rd at St. Louise de Marillac Church, 1144 Harrison Ave, La Grange Park, IL, 60526 at 10:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:15am. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. I will miss him, and recognize that he was a force that held together the last of the old time family members. Those days are gone but wonderful memories remain. God bless you.

So sorry to learn that Jim had passed away. He was a very special friend and business associate going back to 1972. We always made an effort to meet when attending Automotive Manufacturers conventions in both Las Vegas and other states. Jim and I had similar Italian backgrounds so when we did meet, locating and dining together at select restaurants was something that we both enjoyed.
As we now had both become retired and living in different states, visiting Jim became difficult to do again. I’ve lost a great friend. My best wishes to Gloria from Judy and Richard Casale
Jim was a dear friend to me and my husband. I am terribly sad to know he is gone. What a wonderful landlord he was to all of his tenants as well. I was so lucky to know him. He was so generous with his time and just so much fun to be with. He was a lucky man. His wife Gloria is a gem.
