  1. Tom will be greatly missed. He was a neighborhood legend. Will always remember how he’d load Mom up with his tomatoes and always plowed for Dad. Our daughters always enjoyed time with Tom. He will be sorely missed.

  2. Walking Wendell will never be the same without our almost daily stop to visit with Tom. Tom always greeted us joyfully and immediately found a dog treat for Wendell. Tom’s garden and porch were the scene of so many friendly encounters among neighbors. We often found him surrounded by happy children and dogs and sometimes even had to wait in line to greet him. Tom was a truly good and generous man who will be greatly missed by so many of us who were lucky to spend time on his porch. Rest in peace, sir. May your memory be a blessing.

  3. Tom was loved by hundreds of people in our community. I would be walking my dog, Lizzy, with my parents, and we would see him sitting outside his house on his bench. He always had a smile on his face. There was a certain way he said hello to everyone, a way he greeted everyone. The same wave, the same smile. Every single time. He always had a container of dog treats, and something new to teach me. He often told me about times when he was younger, and always had questions about what was going on in my life. Our dog was always so excited to see him – pulling so hard on her leash every time. Tom will be missed forever, and I’m so grateful he was able to watch me grow up until I was 14. Thank you for being like an honorary grandpa to me. I love you.

  4. I’m so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. We ushered together at St. Cletus for many years.
My prayers are with the family.
