Mary Ann Oczkowski
Mary Ann Oczkowski, nee Tarabilda, age 70, of Western Springs, passed away on October 21, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Thomas for 48 years. Loving mother of Kate (Jack) Birdwell. Cherished Grammy of Lila and Logan. Dear sister-in-law of William (Pamela) Oczkowski and Richard (Jeanine) Oczkowski. Fond aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Affectionately known as Mrs. O, Mary Ann taught second grade at St. John of the Cross School for over 30 years. To honor her love of children and passion for reading, kindly read a book to a child in your life.
Visitation 3 to 9 PM on Wednesday, October 25th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. We’ll meet directly at St John of the Cross Church, Western Springs, for an 11 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 26th. Interment Private.

We are close friends of Marge and John Kmiecik and have been praying for Mary Ann and Thom for some time through the health struggles and cancer. Our heart goes out to Thom, Kate and the entire family. She has gone to a better place to be with the Lord and we know she will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences.❤
