Margaret D. Linehan

Margaret D. Linehan (née Curtin)age 94, of Chicago, passed away on November 15, 2023. Loving wife of the late Daniel F. Linehan, who passed away in 1988. Beloved mother of Daniel Linehan, John (Ann) Linehan, and Ellen (Nancy Vazquez) Linehan. Dearest grandmother of Meghan Linehan, Daniel Linehan, Courtney (Travis) Kipper, Claire (Mark) Peterson, Cara (Colin) Clapper, and Jack (Mary Couch) Linehan. Proud great-grandmother of Emma Margaret, Nolan, Annika, Agnes, Theo, and Audrey Ann. Fondest aunt of many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Ireland. Preceded in death by her siblings Josie (Nick) O’Keeffe, Johnny (Mary) Curtin  and Mary Ellen (Frank) Meldazis. Dearest in-law of the late Mary (Jim) Curtin, the late Nancy (Dennis) Sullivan, and the late James F. Linehan. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Nicholas of Tolentine and St. Justin Martyr.

Margaret was born in Rockchapel, County Cork Ireland and shared her love of Ireland with all she met.

A visitation will take place at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springson Monday November 20th at 10am. Mass will start at 11am followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside. Funeral info: 708-352-6500

    1. We will miss her spunkiness as we celebrated at our home the 4th of July with our Indian Princess Group. She added laughter and fun and always made our party complete.

      She will be missed.
