Rita Jeanne Reilly (nee Burke), age 94 of Western Springs died peacefully on January 24th. Born in Chicago to the late Frank & Loretta (nee Loome) Burke.

Beloved wife of over 60 years to the late Honorable Francis J. Reilly. Fond sister of the late Richard (late Mary Margaret) Burke.

Loving mother of Mary Ellen (Ron) Piatek, Daniel (Mary Alice Stack), James (Hon. Noreen M. Daly), Patricia (Hon. Michael T. Mullen), and Kate. Adored grandmother of John (Shannon) Piatek, Colleen (Jeff) DeNapoli & Julie Piatek; Maura Reilly, Tim (Molly) Reilly, Brian (Katie) Reilly & Aileen (Ryan) Martin; Claire (Michael) Walsh, Katie, Michael Jr. & Conor Mullen. Proud great grandma (“GiGi”) of Reese DeNapoli, Francis Piatek, Bridie and Reilly Martin, Jack and Nora Reilly and Reilly and Tully Walsh.

Proud alum of Our Lady of Peace, Longwood Academy, and Chicago Teachers College.

Visitation Friday, February 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until time of chapel prayers 10:30 a.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL with Mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs, IL 60558. Interment private Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
