Kim Michele Bastyr, age 63, of Burr Ridge, passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2024. Beloved daughter of Arlene Bastyr (Schoonover) and the late Edward Bastyr; loving sister of Rick Bastyr (Wendy) and Kirk Bastyr (Laura); loving Aunt of Kelly, Taylor, Emma, Grace, Grant, Charlie, and Tommy; beloved wife of Steve Renick.

Kim studied Film and International Relations at American University, in Washington, D.C. Her love of film drew her to Los Angeles, CA where she had a lengthy career as a Producer, Line Producer and Location Manager for many films and television commercials.

Kim was a kind and generous spirit. She passionately loved her friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews. She is deeply missed.
