Jacqueline Hall-Reigle

Jacqueline “Jackie” Lillian Hall-Reigle, born on September 4, 1959 at MacNeal Memorial Hospital, Berwyn, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, in LaGrange, Illinois. She was the beloved only child of Alvin and Ann Hall.
At the age of three, Jackie moved with her family to LaGrange, Illinois, where she spent most of her life. A proud graduate of Lyons Township High School’s Class of 1977, Jackie built a life filled with love, family, and passion for animals. She was married to her devoted husband, Mark Reigle, for 42 wonderful years. Together, they raised two sons: Jacob David Reigle (34) and Joshua Alvin Reigle (31). Jackie also shared her home and heart with her three cherished dogs—Cowboy, Theo, and Scout.
Jackie’s love for animals began early in life under the influence of her parents. Over the years, she cared for dogs, birds, and horses but found her greatest joy in rescuing and fostering dogs. Her compassion extended to all creatures great and small.
A dedicated stay-at-home mother for over four decades, Jackie poured her energy into raising her children and caring for her beloved pets. In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics and more recently found joy in online puzzles and games. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met—whether they walked on two legs or four.
In the past year, Jackie faced a courageous battle with lung cancer. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on December 28 at her home at 745 9th Ave., LaGrange, Illinois from 12 to 7pm. This casual gathering invites friends and family to honor her memory together. May she find peace reunited with loved ones—both human and animal alike.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jackie’s name to Bernese Auction Rescue Coalition (https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/910be16d-b77e-4b2e-881b-de0f3519168b) are appreciated.

  3. We will miss her and are fortunate to have known her. She was quite a character at the boat yard and always welcoming.

  4. Jackie was a very special person. We loved flying up Country Lane on our horses Sunday mornings, leaving the rest of the group in the dust. Oh to bring back those days. Mark, Josh and Jake: you have my sincere sympathy.
