Benjamin M. Mandra, age 82, of Countryside; beloved husband of Nancy (née Dobias) for 56 years; loving father of Tom (Anna née Bartyzel), Michael, Peter (Jessica née Mowrey), and Rebecca; proud grandfather of TJ, Nicholas, Madeline, and Remy; dear brother of Richard, Pat Brown, & Donald.Ben graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago. He worked as a Computer Programmer, most recently for Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Affairs in Hines, Il. Ben was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Western movies, walking his dog with his wife, Nancy, and spending time with his grandkids.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 12, with a Memorial Service at 1:30 pm on at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Interment private.
