Leone I. Foss; age 96; of Countryside, IL; formerly of Eau Claire, WI; passed away on January 9, 2025. Beloved wife of Clifford F. Foss for a wonderful 68 years. Loving mother of Michael Foss. Dear sister of Patricia Radle and the late Ellen Cherburg. Sister-in-law of Carol Foss, Krist and Joyce Foss. Cherished aunt of Jean Cherburg, Mark Cherburg, Thomas Foss, Cynthia Foss Lindsay, Kristie Foss Scheler, Dale Zank, and Susan Zank Williams.
Leone will be remembered for her big blue eyes and smile that could light up a room, and her love of shopping. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation 3 to 9pm on Wednesday, January 15th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Chapel prayers 9:15am Thursday, January 16th at the funeral home, processing to 10am Mass at St. Cletus Church, LaGrange. Interment private. We were so sad to hear of this! We always looked forward to seeing her every week. May she rest in His arms! May her road always rise…and may her family find peace in His grace.
Cliff and Leone were lifelong friends of my parents in Eau Claire. I have many great memories of them and Mike as I was growing up. Blessings to the family.
