Mary Hickey, age 78, of Forest Park. Beloved wife of the late Matthew; loving mother of Brian (Jackie) and Maureen (Jason) Lovelace; devoted Nana of Dylan and Emily Lovelace, Richard (Kathleen) and Nicholas Kenealy; dear Great-Grandma Mary of Harper, Cole, & Finn Kenealy; fond sister of Joseph (Wendy) Petkus; dear aunt of many.
Mary worked as a secretary for many years. She loved to quilt & Sew. Enjoyed watching the Blackhawks & White Sox play. Loved to watch her grandchildren in their sports and dance. She was a great friend to many.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lung Cancer Research or American Macular Degeneration Foundation are greatly appreciated.
Visitation 4 to 9pm on Tuesday, January 21st at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Chapel prayers 9:15am Wednesday, January 22nd from the funeral home to St. Cletus Parish, LaGrange for a 10am Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet, Chicago. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed by many. So sorry that we can’t be there in person to convey our sympathy to you and your family.
She was a good friend and neighbor at her Florida home in Pinellas Park. We shared our love of quilting and our love of living in the Chicago suburbs near our families. I will miss our afternoon chats in the winter. May the family and friend memories be a blessing to all.
