Marvin Lanzel

Marvin Lanzel, age 80, of LaGrange Park, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Christine (nee Bocian); loving father of Alexandra (Johannes) Schulz; cherished grandfather of August and Matilda; devoted son of the late Marvin and Helen; fond uncle and friend of many.

Marvin was an attorney for over 50 years, the majority of that time practicing in the real estate, trust and probate fields. His true passions were gardening and woodworking. He was a life-long member of  CSA Fraternal Life, most recently Lodge Lincoln; he served in various roles in the CSA organization over the years. He was a 4th generation member of the American Sokol and belonged to Sokol Spirit and Sokol Chicagoland. Marv was also an enthusiastic member of The United Moravian Society and loved to sing with the group. The Czech Garden Club counted Marvin as a member also, as well as several other organizations.

Marvin will be cremated at this time and a Celebration of Life will be held sometime in the future, when his whole family can be there. More details to come.
