Milos Pantovic, age 89, of LaGrange passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Milos is the beloved husband of Dostana (nee Kastrovic).Loving father of Branka Brenner (Chris) Branko Pantovic (Jovana) Gaga Jovicevic (Miso) Tomislav “Tommy” Pantovic (passed Nov. 2006)

Milos is a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Jovana Djurovski (John) Nikola Brenner (Angela) Kristina Sereyka (James) Luka Brenner, George and Stevan Pantovic.

Great Grandfather to Leo, Lana, Ben, Beau.

Milos “Deda” Pantovic was born in the small village of Zagradje, Montenegro. He married Dostana “Dola” in July of 1960. They began their life together in Berane, Montenegro, raising their young family. To provide a better future for the children, they immigrated to Chicago in 1970. Milos leveraged his degree in Chemistry to work multiple jobs, providing for his family.

His greatest joys in life were his family, friends, church and “kumovi”. Milos leaves a lasting legacy of helping those in need. He raised aid for those in need of healthcare, shelter, and even food in his beloved Yugoslavia. His strong faith also inspired him to build a church in his hometown. Milos never lost sight of where he came from, and visiting relatives overseas brought him immense joy. He was, and will remain a proud “Crnogorac”

Visitation 4 to 9pm on Sunday, March 2nd at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Family and friends to meet Monday, March 3rd, directly at New Gracanica Serbian Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Lindenhurst, for a 12pm Funeral Service. Burial to follow at New Gracanica Cemetery.
