Teresa Lubiana Giannoni

Teresa Lubiana Giannoni, age 83, born October 20, 1941 in Capannori Lucca, Italy to the late Giuglio Scatena & the late Eni Gaddini; beloved wife of Loris Giannoni for 60 years; beloved mother of Evelina (Mark) Springer & Cinzia (Craig) Dedic; loving Nonni to Joseph, Michael, Luca, & Mia; dear sister of Nella Grazia (Pierluigi) Orsi and sister-in-law of the late Lorena (the late Giuseppe) Fagni; beloved aunt of Irene (Stefano) Orsi and Daniele (Barbara) Fagni. She passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 9, 2025.

Teresa immigrated from Italy in 1966. Her future husband followed her to America, and together they created a life in a new country. Those first few years were lean, but together they created a business, New Garden Studio, where they worked side-by-side for many years. Lubiana was a strong, kind, and loving person to all. After living in Chicago’s Italian neighborhood at 24th and Oakley, she moved to Burbank where she and her husband lived for 46 years.

She loved gardening and taking pleasure in her vegetable garden and beloved roses. Her favorite times were those spent with family gathered around the family table enjoying a good Italian dinner. She also loved her Italian soccer team, Juventus, and would enjoy talking to her grandson about the games. Her grandchildren were her pride & joy, and you could often find her talking to anyone and everyone about how amazing her grandchildren were. She loved living in Chicago, but winters were saved for her happy place in Indian Shores, Florida.

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Teresa’s passing. For the past several years my husband, Michael and I rented the condo next door to there’s in Indian Shores, Fla. We really enjoyed sitting out and talking with Loris. Teresa didn’t a lot of time sitting outside, but whenever we did see her, we would chat for a few minutes………always with a big smile. Sometimes, she’d just be standing in the doorway……..always with that beautiful smile……..and, we would give each other a little wave and say,”Hi”. I will miss her sweet presence. Loris, Mike and I are sending prayers and love. Michael and Jo Coffey
