Barbara J. Gacek, 88 years old, of La Grange, formerly of Western Springs and Chicago, passed away on April 27, 2025, in the comfort of her home, just 1 day shy of her birthday.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn (Mike) Waszak; daughter-in-law, Laurel (Matt) Gacek; her parents; siblings & fur children, Toby & Fritzy.

Survived by her loving husband of 65 and a half years, Bruno J. Gacek; her children: Lori (Bruce) Hardy, Bruno (Lisa) Gacek, Matt Gacek, Mike (Nancy) Gacek; her 13 loving grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren & many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 4 to 8pm Sunday, May 4th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a Funeral Service will be held 10am on Monday, May 5th.
